Cable Blowing System “FIBERJET“ in working procedure The THALER-Cable Blowing System “FIBERJET” is used for blowing in cables of diameter range 10–30 mm in HDPE-pipes of different sizes. Cable lengths of up to 4000 m can be blown-in at a speed of up to 100 m/min. The blown-in length is depending on the inner diameter of the pipe, the cable diameter, the weight of the cable, the friction factor between cable and pipe as well as on the available air pressure. Furthermore the possible length is depending on the quality of the pipe laying (curve radius, deformations).

Blowing Unit “VARIOJET” The basic unit “VARIOJET“ is an independent device and already able to blow-in cable up to lengths of 1000 m. For the operation of “VARIOJET“ we are recommending a compressor having a working pressure of 10 bar and an air supply of 10 m³/min. The compressor has to be equipped with an after cooling system.

Pushing Device “CABLE FEEDER“ The pushing device “CABLE-FEEDER” is assisting the “VARIOJET” in case of bigger cable lengths or difficult site conditions. Therefor the blowing head of “VARIOJET” will be mounted at the “CABLE FEEDER”. In series the “CABLE FEEDER” will be delivered without blowing-head, measuring and support.
Technical features:
- two pneumatically driven hauling chains, which are having specially formed carriers for sensitive cable advance
- sensitive regulation of the pneumatic pressure of the hauling chains to the cable
- adjustable distance between hauling chains for different cable diameters
- continuous adjustment of the blowing-in speed

Blowing head Blowing head with compressed air connectors, control valves and pressure indicator (as in blowing system “VARIOJET”). The blowing head can be mounted at the pushing device “CABLE FEEDER” in order to complete the blowing system “FIBERJET” or used separately for lengths up to 1000 m. The blowing head is required if the blowing system “VARIOJET” is not already available.

Mist oiler The mist oiler is to be mounted between compressor and blowing head and is supplying the air stream with a cable gliding fluid to reduce friction between cable and pipe. The device is having a sensitive dosing apparatus and is working according to the injection principe. The mist oiler is delivered with a connection hose to the blowing head as well as to the “CABLE FEEDER“.
